Ram Falls Alberta

Ram Falls Alberta

Ram Falls Alberta

Ram falls is a beautiful waterfall on the forestry trunk road about 65 km south of Nordegg.  If you are looking to do a little camping this is a really nice place to camp. The Ram falls campground has about 50 unserviced sites that cost about $26 a night. It is within walking distance of the Ram falls viewing platform.

  • Wildlife watching –  Bighorn sheep are a pretty common sight around the falls, so keep your camera handy as you never know when you can expect to see these majestic animals. Wild harses can also be fairly common around here.
  • Bird Watching – Keep your eyes open for the American Dipper, Bald Eagle, Kestrels and a few species of woodpeckers.
  • Fishing – Bull trout, cutthroat and Whitefish. (Catch & Release ONLY)
  • Photography – The landscape around here is second to none.
